Scottish Saloon & Sports Cars Championship Details

The Championship for a really mixed variety of modified cars. The most powerful cars racing at SMRC meetings are found in this Championship. The club also welcomes a new sponsor Balgonie Motor Company. There are 7 classes in the Championship and cars may race on slick racing tyres or treaded road based tyres, depending on their class rules. There are also 2 separate Cup competitions for Mazda MX5 Mk1 1600cc cars and BMW 1900cc Compacts. These two Cup classes only score points in their own competitions.

In 2014 we aim to have separate races for the Scottish BMW Compact Cup as their grid is set to grow. This popular competition is entering its 2nd year.
